Splish, Splash!

Well, it has been a busy couple of weeks!  We were lucky to have some beautiful, almost 60 degree, weather last week!  It was sooo nice, but being a Vermonter I knew it wouldn't last.  We were able to enjoy lots of time outside and go on at least one walk a day, which was such a wonderful change of pace!  Unfortunately, it hasn't lasted, but it is nice to know that sort of weather is right around the corner!

Miles may not look so thrilled in this photo, but he does love to go for walks.  He hardly falls asleep anymore on our walks and is so alert taking in all of the sights.  This photo was taken by aunt Jamie one of the days she and my mom watched him.

A week later was St. Patrick's day.  Miles went to Moo-ma's (yes Moo-ma, it's a long story).  The shirt he is wearing says "I'm a McCutie" I just could resist it when I saw it in the store!

It was such a beautiful day on St. Patty's day that Miles hung outside enjoying the fresh air and some sunshine.  Moo-ma and Jamie put a tarp and blanket down and brought out his exersaucer.  He had a great time.  

Not only was Miles lucky enough to hang with Aunt Jamie and Moo-ma all day, but he had a very special visitor, little Miss Ava Savoy and Linda Mc.  

Ava was so sweet to Miles it was adorable.  Apparently she has been talking about him ever since.

Last Friday Miles went for his first swim!  We had an idea that it might go well considering how much he loves bath time.  At the child care center we have him enrolled in (or as Ann calls it, the baby spa) each classroom has a day when they go swimming in the pool at the gym (which is in the front of the building).  His class goes on Fridays and even though he does not attend school on Fridays, providing Dylan goes with him he is able to go swimming at no extra charge.  Dylan's friend Sara was in town and was able to go with him, which was so great because she was able to take some video and pictures of the whole event.  

Most of the time he just floated around, hangin' out.  He did, however, go under water for the first time!

He did so great, other than a little flailing around he didn't make a peep!

I am so proud of my little boy!  I can't wait to hear about tomorrow's swimming adventure!

Miles has been doing great eating his food, he has started to enjoy pears, along with his first love...applesauce!

We were able to get together with Great-Grandpa Russell a couple weeks ago for lunch, always so fun to see the two of them together!
